Auntie Chronicles, vol. 4: September 10
Hey 3.3 pound baby fetus,
It’s been a while, I know. I apologize.
My brain has been in an interesting place lately. I am a little scattered and anxious about my lack of life plan… so I have been trying to pull it together in the recent months. I woke up one morning, and had a panic attack at the thought that I didn’t know what my end goal was. I have a number of ambitions (probably too many)… but what am I willing to do to get there? After I get there, then what? Why do I even want this for myself?
All this to say, its starting to come together and there are some things that I have truly taken away from this recent planning period, and I wanted to share it with you…
1. Pray.
2. Your life plan will never be final.
3. Perfection only exists in the context of your experiences.
4. While you are planning, don’t forget to grow your soul.
5. Make a list. Its a great feeling to cross things off.
6. Have fun, within reason.
7. “Expect nothing, live frugally on surprise (Alice Walker).”
8. It’s a process. Be patient.
9. Find a healthy vice… something to help you relax… that’s legal.
10. Pray some more.
Go get’em tiger.
