“When I was a Child…”
“…I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child…” (I Cor. 13:11)
And now that I’m all grown up… I still want a monkey… just like when I was a child.
I don’t know what it is about monkey’s that made me so fond of them. Most of my friends wanted a pony, or a poodle. But not I — I needed to have a monkey. Undoubtedly it was the portrayal of my little furry friends on TV that ultimately won me over. My infatuation likely started at the young age of four, with the likes of Curious George, and King Louie. My mother introduced us and it was love at first sight. Those creepy flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz almost turned me off, but then the King Kong and KoKo (the uber-intelligent gorilla) stole my heart once and for all. I also think “Friends” cameo-ed the cutest little monkey… I was a fan… or was it “Saved by the Bell?” At any rate, monkey’s rock.

…I wanted a robot… they would have eaten less and would have smelled waaaaaaaay better. Funny thing…even now I still wish I had my childhood playmate- damn robot. I could use an extra hand replying to emails and finishing my blog chores.
